A unique Antique Dial Restoration studio based in the heart of West Sussex. Many antique dials, particularly long case dials are lovingly restored with a strong emphasis on conservation.
These precious objects are restored using materials that would have been originally used such as Fine Indian ink, genuine gold leaf and artist top quality oil paints. A lot of attention is paid to keeping as much of the original work as possible and only bringing out the beauty that has simply deteriorated with time. This may mean restoring the numerals, names, gilding, rings and markings, these are usually the aspects of the dial that get damaged and rubbed off the most. Each dial is unique in its history and restorative needs. Krysta has several years experience as a dial restorer and has worked with the renowned ‘Oxford Clock Company’ on many occasions.
